Poirier comes into the arena with INTRO - DMX blaring out of the sound system. Slyker is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: It's Amazing by Kanye West. Cain Slyker has the better chin. Slyker closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Poirier quickly recovers to half guard.

Slyker lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Poirier quite badly. Poirier pulls Slyker in close trying to recover. Slyker postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Poirier on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Poirier doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
