Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeromy Lott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gavin Phillip (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jeromy Lott had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jeromy Lott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Gavin Phillip!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Phil Schofield and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phillip tries to clinch up but Lott circles away and keeps his distance.

Phillip drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Phillip wants to get up but he can't break Lott's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Phillip wants to control from the top but Lott keeps moving.

Lott escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Phillip gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Phillip postures up in Lott's guard and throws a big left but Lott blocks it.
Lott has his hands on Phillip's head, controlling the position.
Lott will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Phillip throws a strike but Lott rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Lott works over Phillip with some ground and pound from guard.

Lott drops back looking for a leg! Phillip is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Phillip manages to kick Lott off! Lott jumps back into Phillip's guard.

Phillip doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Phillip is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Phillip is looking to sweep but instead, Lott has passed into half guard.

Lott is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That was a close round but I would say that Jeromy Lott will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Phillip moves in looking to clinch but Lott pushes him off.

Phillip wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Phillip tries to bum rush Lott with a series of wild strikes but Lott uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Phillip manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Lott on his heels. He'll look to pass Lott's guard now, I'm sure.
Lott is pulling down on Phillip's head. It's preventing any offense from Phillip, at least for the moment.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Phillip accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Phillip wants to control from the top but Lott keeps moving.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lott wants to stand but Phillip is controlling the position.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Phillip working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Gavin Phillip showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Lott's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Lott shoots for a double leg takedown but Phillip sprawls well. He's pushed Lott's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Phillip has taken the fight to the clinch.
Phillip wants to break free but Lott has control.

Lott wants to stand and escape but Phillip is having none of it.

Phillip srikes from the bottom but he's lost position and has given up his back.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

I would just about give that final round to Gavin Phillip.
Well Phillip has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
