Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Duane Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Unit One (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Duane Stone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Unit One!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

One fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Stone sprawls well initially but One persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Stone is trying to get back to full guard.
Stone wants to stand back up but One manages to pass into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
One controlling the position from side mount.
One tries to move to mount but Stone blocks the move with his legs.
Stone is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but One has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Stone seems a little lost for a moment, as One dominates the positioning.
Stone looking for a sweep but One has passed into full mount! Oh no!
One throwing strikes here but Stone is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

One looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Stone is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

One jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Stone manages to avoid the submission attempt.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

It looks like Duane Stone has been cut.

One shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Stone napping and manages to drive through into side control!

One works to advance to full mount. Stone defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

One looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


One throws a right and a left that both miss.

Stone tries to sprawl but One drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Stone is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but One pulls his head out easily.
One prevents Stone from standing back up.
One thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Stone wants to get back to his feet.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with One in particular looking to stall.

One is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Stone doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time One.
Stone scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but One manages to mount him!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

One sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Stone is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
One tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Stone knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for One on the ground.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Unit One wasn't active enough on the ground.

One closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Stone quickly recovers to half guard.
One is figuring out what he wants to do next.

One stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Stone gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

One is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

One is in close to Stone's body, working some short punches and elbows.
One controlling from the top position.
Stone wants to stand and escape but One is having none of it.

Stone throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! One escapes and throws Stone's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Stone gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Stone is trying to reverse the position but instead One has taken his back - oops!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Unit One showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

and One counters with a good low kick that Stone was not able to check.

One moves into range and clinches up with Stone.

One has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Stone uses from the top position.
Unit One has got the better of the ground game so far.
Stone wants to control from the top but One keeps moving.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now One is on top in guard.
One advances to half guard.
One passes the guard and advances to mount!
One tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Stone tries to buck One off but One takes his back!
One has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Stone looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
One punches the canvas rather than the man.
Stone holding both One 's hands and preventing any damage.
One is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Let's hope that One has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Unit One comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well One has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
