Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jorge Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dennis Wise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jorge Junior!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 41 - 14 - 1, fighting out of New York, Dennis Wise!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Andrew Berry and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wise ducks right into an uppercut from Junior.
A jab from Wise does it's job there.
A slow jab from Junior misses its intended target.
Wise chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Wise checks the leg kick.
Wise tries to close the distance and clinch but Junior swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Junior turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Junior throws a jab when Wise was well out of range.
Jorge Junior seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Junior jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A slow jab from Junior misses its intended target.
Junior moves out of range of the body kick.
Wise takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Junior stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wise swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wise bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Junior's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wise wants to control from the top but Junior keeps moving.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Junior throws an overhand right that lands on Wise's shoulder, as Wise tries to avoid the shot.
Junior thows a left - swing and a miss!
Junior is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Wise.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wise tries to bench press Junior off him but Junior keeps the position.

Junior has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Wise!

Junior throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Wise tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Junior is in Wise's guard.
Junior throws a strike but Wise rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Wise seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Junior sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Wise throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Wise lands a nice leg kick that just misses Junior's sensitive parts.
Wise throws a hook to the side of Junior's head but Junior sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Junior tries to score with a low kick but Wise moves his leg out of the way.
Junior connects with a good right hand that stumbles Wise. Wise circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Junior has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Wise loads up on a big right hand but Junior slips the punch.

Junior is trying to control the action in half guard but Wise is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Jorge Junior will probably get the nod.

Junior throws a leg kick but Wise sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Junior clobbers Wise with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Wise dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Junior. That did some damage!

Junior bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Wise's head backwards.

Wise lands a body shot.
Wise defending well as Junior loads up on a big left hand.
Dennis Wise is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wise shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Junior shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Wise napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Wise takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Junior tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Wise is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Junior off and has taken his back!
Dennis Wise has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Junior is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Brazilian Elite Team, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

A very excited looking Jorge Junior rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
