The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Daniel Cesar and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schroeder shoots for a takedown but Talipov saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Schroeder throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Talipov was covering up waiting for the punch and Schroeder finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Schroeder prevents Talipov from getting back to his feet.
Schroeder is in close to Talipov's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Schroeder is looking to work some ground and pound but Talipov has wrist control.

Schroeder really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Schroeder seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Schroeder has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Talipov defend it? Schroeder steps over the head and cranks it - Talipov is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Schroeder!
