Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Freddy Briggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Collins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Freddy Briggs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jack Collins!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Valeri Chadov and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Collins takes the fight into the clinch.
Briggs wants to get back to striking at distance but Collins won't allow it.
Collins misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Briggs.
Briggs is looking for a takedown.

Collins jumps guard and drags Briggs to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Briggs seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Collins does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Briggs will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Briggs wants to work for an arm triangle but Collins is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Collins is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Collins is looking for a sweep. Briggs is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Jack Collins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Collins lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Briggs moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Briggs is looking to stand up but Collins isn't so interested in that idea.

Let's hope that Collins has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Briggs counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Collins is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Jack Collins is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Briggs tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Collins avoids it.

Well Collins has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
