And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Andrew Berry and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Battle's jab looks to have found its range, popping Maskrey under the eye.
Nice sprawl there from Battle as Maskrey shoots in.
Maskrey doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Battle scores with a nice strike.
Maskrey takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Maskrey closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Battle quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Maskrey trying to control from half guard but Battle is working away.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Battle tries to roll over but Maskrey keeps him under control.

We're going to have a standup here because Nathan Maskrey wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Battle keeps the fight on the outside.

Maskrey shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Battle defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Maskrey.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nathan Maskrey. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Battle fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Maskrey on the side of the head.
Battle lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Maskrey at a distance.

Battle drops Maskrey with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Maskrey looks back up at him and smiles so Battle waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Maskrey is rocked!

It looks like Nathan Maskrey has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Battle throws an uppercut from hell that sends Maskrey clean off his feet! He's out cold! Battle stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
