Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scott Hess (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruno Saadi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Saadi's choice of entrance music: Till I Collapse. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Scott Hess!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bruno Saadi!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hess will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Saadi fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hess to the ground. Saadi is now in Hess's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Saadi gets to his feet - Hess follows without any prompting.
A head kick by Saadi misses
and Saadi takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Saadi cracks the inside of Hess's front leg.

Saadi shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Saadi was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Saadi laying and praying for a moment but Hess takes advantage and regains half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Saadi wants to stand up but Hess is controlling the position.

Saadi is looking for a kimura here.
Saadi thows a huge punch but Hess dodges it nicely.
Saadi wants to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Hess is looking to control Saadi's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hess avoid being mounted?
Saadi trying to pass the guard but Hess defending well.
Saadi winds up and cracks Hess with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Saadi is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Saadi with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Hess keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Hess trying to hold on to Saadi's head to control him but Saadi postures up.
Saadi throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Hess to regain full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hess preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Saadi stands up over Hess, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Saadi gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Saadi misses with a wild combination.
Hess tries to close the distance and clinch up but Saadi swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Saadi connects with a body shot.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Saadi moves into the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hess jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Saadi walks away with a smile on his face. Hess gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Hess is breathing heavily.

Saadi drives through and clinches with Hess against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bruno Saadi dominated that round.
That's time! Hess's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Hess shoots in for a takedown but Saadi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Saadi darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Ground and pound from Saadi.
Saadi performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Saadi is looking to take a break and control but Hess is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Bruno Saadi has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Saadi looks to land a combination but Hess avoids it well.

Saadi decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Saadi keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Bruno Saadi has got the better of the ground game so far.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Bruno Saadi wasn't active enough on the ground.

Saadi has taken the fight to the clinch.

Saadi pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Saadi throws a head kick that misses
and Hess finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Saadi moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Saadi clinches up against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Hess pulls Saadi into guard.

Saadi stands up from Hess's guard - Saadi perhaps looking for a knockout.

Saadi clinches up with Hess and pushes him back against the cage.
Hess really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Hess ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Hess no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Saadi postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Saadi controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Saadi scoring with some ground and pound.
Hess keeping moving, preventing Saadi from controlling successfully.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hess wants to stand but Saadi is controlling the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Saadi is on the wrong end of a couple of strikes there.
Saadi is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Bruno Saadi was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Saadi has closed the distance and engaged Hess in a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bruno Saadi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Hess doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Saadi counters with a body kick.
Hess shoots in but no luck this time.
Saadi throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Hess colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Saadi as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Hess is left battered and dazed whilst Saadi and his camp cheer!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bruno Saadi!
A very excited looking Bruno Saadi made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
