The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Schmidt gets caught napping as Beeman dives in and scores a takedown. Schmidt manages to retain guard.

Schmidt is looking for a triangle here but Beeman uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Schmidt tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Beeman wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
