Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yong Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Rod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wright's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Emancipator - Soon It Will Be Cold Enough To Build Fires. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yong Wright!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Wright.

Wright moves into the clinch successfully.
Rod is trying to drag Wright to the mat but Wright just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Come on Wright - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Wright just misses with a elbow thrown towards Rod's brow.
Rod avoiding damage as Wright throws knees to the body.
Rod is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Rod has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Wright clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Rod lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Wright breaks Rod's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
We've been hearing that Wright has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Rod is looking to stand up but Wright isn't so interested in that idea.
Wright pushes down on Rod's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Rod wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wright looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Rod is looking to escape.
Wright works his foot free and advances to mount.

Wright jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Rod is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Rod and Wright has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Wright fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Wright bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Rod's head.

Rod takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

It looks like Rob Rod has been cut.
Decent striking displayed by Wright there.
Yong Wright seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wright lands a big uppercut and Rod crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Rod looks OK. Wright waves Rod back to his feet!

Rod is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rod avoids the body shot from Wright.

Wright closes the distance and pushes Rod back into the cage.
We've been informed that Rod has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Wright throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Rod blocks it with crossed arms.
Rod tries for a takedown but Wright manages to get underhooks.
Rod wants to take the fight to the mat but Wright manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Wright is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Rod is defending well for now.

Yong Wright has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rob Rod.

Wright lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
A punch lands to the side of Rod 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Wright feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Rod sprawling to the canvas! Rod rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Wright finish him?!

That has opened up Rob Rod's cut even more.

Wright looks to land a body kick but Rod moved away.
Rod seems to have recovered his senses.

Wright tries a head kick but it misses.

Wright lands a big head kick that sends Rod tumbling to the mat! Wright takes a step backwards and waves Rod back to his feet - he wants the finish!

The cut above Rob Rod's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wright does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Wright throws a sloppy head kick and Rod moves out of range easily.
Wright connects with a single shot there.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
No joy there for Wright, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wright throws a leg kick but Rod checks it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Rod takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Wright throws a leg kick but Rod checks it.
Wright misses with a low kick.
Rod takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Wright tries to score with a low kick but Rod moves his leg out of the way.
Wright feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Rods jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Rob Rod's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Yong Wright is winning the standup battle so far.
Rod moves out of range as Wright throws a body kick.
Wright scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
A jab from Wright finds it's way through Rod's defenses.
Wright looks to score with a jab to the body but Rod is just out of range.
Wright tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Rod is able to avoid easily.
Rod takes a jab right on the kisser.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Rob Rod's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
