The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Darius Henderson and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rickson moves into range and clinches up with West.
Rickson controlling the action here for a moment.
Rickson scores with a nice hook to the head.
West tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rickson smiles and moves away.
West tries for a takedown but Rickson circles away easily

and Rickson counters by clinching up.
West jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rickson walks away with a smile on his face. West gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Jo Rickson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan West.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Rickson.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rickson stands up and beckons West to his feet.

West is trying to maintain the position but Rickson is very close to passing his half guard.
Rickson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

West is looking to control Rickson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can West avoid being mounted?
Rickson is nestled in close to West, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
