Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Maximus Meridius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cal Naughton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Naughton has chosen Magic Man as his entrance music. Maximus Meridius has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Naughton swats away the attempt to clinch by Meridius.

Meridius lands a vicious elbow to the side of Naughton's head that scrambles his senses and sends him wobbling down to the canvas! Meridius tries to finish him with strikes but Naughton still seems able to defend himself so Meridius steps back and lets Naughton get back to his feet - he wants no part of the ground game.

Maximus Meridius has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cal Naughton.

Meridius darts in and clinches Naughton up against the cage.
Clinched against the cage, Meridius lands a big elbow that drops Naughton! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Naughton is complaining that he's OK but he was done.
