Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Skarface (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Garfunkel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Skarface comes to the cage accompanied by where all the good people go?. The crowd seem to be enjoying Garfunkel's choice of entrance music: Haifisch. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tony Skarface!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Garfunkel!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garfunkel shoots in but no luck this time.

and Garfunkel counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Skarface!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Garfunkel accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Skarface seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Garfunkel closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Skarface's guard.

Garfunkel creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Skarface sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Garfunkel tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Garfunkel has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Skarface tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Garfunkel wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

and Garfunkel counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Skarface's guard now.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Skarface stalks Garfunkel and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Garfunkel's face. Garfunkel staggers backwards, shaken.
This has been an exciting period of action!

A nice leg kick lands there from Garfunkel.
Garfunkel throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Skarface's waist but Skarface gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Garfunkel off to one side.

Skarface looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Skarface takes a swing at Garfunkel's ribcage but misses.

Skarface takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Skarface bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Garfunkel works his way to full guard. Good work.
Our spies down at at Ryōzanpaku Dojo inform us that Garfunkel has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Skarface is pulling down on Garfunkel's head. It's preventing any offense from Garfunkel, at least for the moment.
Oh Skarface is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Garfunkel loads up on a big left hand. Skarface felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Garfunkel looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Skarface can't hide his disappointment, as Garfunkel celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Frank Garfunkel!
An out of breath Frank Garfunkel thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
