Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gustavo Adkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlemagne Van Leur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Charlemagne Van Leur will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Yasuomi Hirokawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Leur looks to land a left hand but Adkins moved out of range nicely.
Adkins misses with a takedown attempt - Van Leur sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Adkins really is a fat lump.
Van Leur misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Van Leur darts in looking for a takedown but Adkins gets double underhooks and turns Van Leur into the cage.
Adkins tries a body shot but Van Leur blocks it.

Van Leur breaks the clinch.
Van Leur misses with a takedown
and Adkins counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Adkins shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Adkins looks to land a strike but Van Leur avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Van Leur manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Van Leur pulls guard.
Adkins has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Van Leur looking to hit a scissor sweep but Adkins is one step ahead there.
Adkins working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Van Leur controls Adkins momentarily but Adkins frees himself.
Adkins won't allow Van Leur to get back to his feet.
Adkins postures up in Van Leur's guard and throws a big left but Van Leur blocks it.
Adkins not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Van Leur slaps away a takedown attempt from Adkins, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Van Leur tries to clinch there but Adkins circles away.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gustavo Adkins. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Van Leur tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Adkins paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Charlemagne Van Leur seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A head kick misses from Van Leur.
Van Leur tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Adkins counters with a left and a right that stings Van Leur.
Adkins dodges the punch combination from Van Leur.
Adkins fails with an attempt to clinch.

Van Leur bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Van Leur in side control lands a decent elbow.
Adkins bucks up and tries to throw Van Leur off but instead Van Leur has got his back!
Adkins is breathing heavily.
Van Leur slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Van Leur's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Van Leur is trying to stick to Adkins's back but Adkins is turning into Van Leur. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Van Leur's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Adkins.

Van Leur has an active guard here but Adkins has managed to pass into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Adkins is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Van Leur is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
