Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Josh Barnett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Winston Churchill!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Columbo Gatti and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Churchill closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Barnett looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Churchill blocks the strikes from Barnett.

Barnett actively working from the bottom here.

Barnett is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Churchill pulls his head out easily.
Churchill lands with a punch from half guard.
Churchill really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barnett. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Barnett is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Churchill thows a huge punch but Barnett dodges it nicely.

Barnett has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Barnett manages to get to full guard.

Churchill got a little sloppy there for a moment and Barnett has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Churchill has managed to get both his arms back between Barnett's legs - danger averted.
Barnett is looking to stand up but Churchill isn't so interested in that idea.
Churchill tries to free his leg and advance position but Barnett is retaining full guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Barnett working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Churchill doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Barnett is tightening it up a little... Churchill has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Churchill reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Churchill taps out! Nice BJJ there by Barnett!
