The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Churchill closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Churchill really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barnett. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Churchill got a little sloppy there for a moment and Barnett has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Churchill has managed to get both his arms back between Barnett's legs - danger averted.
Barnett is looking to stand up but Churchill isn't so interested in that idea.
Churchill tries to free his leg and advance position but Barnett is retaining full guard.

Oh but Barnett is tightening it up a little... Churchill has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Churchill reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Churchill taps out! Nice BJJ there by Barnett!
