PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kid Diddler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Wagner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wagner has chosen Lose Yourself as his entrance music. Daniel Wagner will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Daniel Wagner!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Reed Andrews and Bruno Lombardi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wagner looks to land a combination but Diddler avoids it well.
Diddler dodges the punch combination from Wagner.

Wagner looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Wagner tries to pass the half guard into mount. Diddler knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Diddler is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Wagner's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Wagner's back!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wagner is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Diddler gets his way!

Wagner is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Wagner manages to reverse the position and now he's in Diddler's guard. Nice work there by Wagner.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wagner is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Diddler is controlling him well.

Diddler is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Wagner is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Diddler has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Wagner is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Diddler yanks on the arm and Wagner is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Diddler.
