Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Amado Hood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Death (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Amado Hood!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, King Death!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Daniel Blasius and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Death gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Hood drops down looking for an ankle pick but Death pulls his leg out and moves away.
Death falls off balance throwing a combination
and Hood counters with an outside leg kick.

Death gets a clinch.

Death breaks from the clinch.

Death moves into range and clinches up with Hood.

Death jumps guard.
Death tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Hood postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Death has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Death is looking to stand up but Hood isn't so interested in that idea.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Death is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Death is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Death should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

The ref stands the fighters back up. King Death was stalling too much, according to the referee.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Death is defended easily by Hood.

Death gets in close and instigates a clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Death is working Hood over against the cage.
Death has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hood is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Death is looking to control Hood's arms but Hood gets an underhook and turns him. Now Death has his back to the cage.
Hood has Death pressed against the cage, preventing Death from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Death breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Death throws a right and a left that Hood avoids nicely.
Hood really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Death fails to land the takedown.
Amado Hood has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of King Death.

Death moves into range and clinches up with Hood.
Death tries to score a body lock takedown but Hood shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Hood is trying to pull guard but Death has him pressed against the cage.

Death tries to circle away but Hood has him pinned against the cage.
Death tries for a takedown but Hood manages to get underhooks.

Death has Hood pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hood manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Death misses with a body punch.
Hood tries to pull guard but Death forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Death jumps guard but Hood stands there with Death around his waist. Death gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Death breaks from the clinch.
Death tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hood sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Death somewhat.
Death looks winded!
Death throws a head kick that misses.

Hood fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Hood slips a jab and a cross from Death.
Hood avoids a punch combination nicely.

Hood closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hood lands in his opponent's guard.
Death wants to hit a switch here but Hood passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Death there!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Death is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

King Death dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Hood darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Hood is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hood sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Death defending well though.
Hood stops Death from getting back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Hood is looking for a kimura but Death is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hood to get the leverage.
Hood prevents Death from standing back up.
Death scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Hood manages to mount him!

Hood is working for a kimura but Death is defending it quite comfortably.

Death keeps control of the position for the meantime.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hood postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Death to stand up.

Death gets a clinch.

Death's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Death rushes Hood and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

A close second round but King Death will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Death changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Death explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Hood attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Death looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Death looks to land a body kick but Hood moved away.

Hood tries to keep at a distance but Death has taken the fight into the clinch.

Hood tries to work over Death's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Death slowing the pace effectively.

Death pulls guard successfully.
Hood with a nice head shot there.
Hood working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Death has an active guard here but Hood has managed to pass into half guard.
Death is looking for a sweep. Hood is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Death takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Death is looking to control Hood's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Death avoid being mounted?

Hood is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Death doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hood.
Death has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hood is working away from the top position though.
Amado Hood overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Death is trying is best to control the position here.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Death has one foot on Hood's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Death closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hood did well to prevent Death getting side control.

Death uses his free foot to push down on Hood's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hood.

Hood is trying desperately to improve position.
Death sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Poor strikes thrown by Death there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Amado Hood has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
King Death is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

King Death comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Death has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
