Wangchuck comes into the arena with Rapa - Rang Sem Kar Ga Mikar blaring out of the sound system. Turkulainen is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Indivision & Wreckage Machinery - Coals & Diamonds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Temppa Turkulainen!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paulsen Ambrosius and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wangchuck slips a jab from Turkulainen.
Wangchuck goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Wangchuck fails in his attempt to clinch.

Wangchuck moves into the clinch successfully.
Wangchuck lands a knee to the head.
Turkulainen wants to get back to striking at distance but Wangchuck won't allow it.
Wangchuck tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Turkulainen breaks the clinch.
Wangchuck tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Turkulainen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Turkulainen swings for the body but Wangchuck moves out of range.

Turkulainen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Wangchuck, pushing him back against the ropes.
Wangchuck throws an elbow that misses.
Wangchuck throws a knee to the head but misses.
We've been informed that Turkulainen has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Wangchuck misses with an elbow over the top.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wangchuck tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Wangchuck is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Turkulainen swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Wangchuck is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Turkulainen tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Wangchuck avoids it.

Turkulainen tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Wangchuck's elbow.
Turkulainen is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes.
Wangchuck lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Wangchuck creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Wangchuck connects with a nasty looking knee right to Turkulainen's face.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Wangchuck keeps control of Turkulainen as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Wangchuck scores a nice knee to the body.
Wangchuck lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Turkulainen backwards.
Turkulainen takes an elbow to the temple.


Turkulainen is rocked!
Wangchuck has his opponent in a tight Thai clinch and unloads with a massive knee that drops Turkulainen to the canvas! Can Turkulainen beat the count? 3,4,5,6 and he's up... is he? Yes, he's up! The referee is taking a long look at him and he's waved off the fight! He didn't think Turkulainen was in a fit state to continue so this fight is over! Wangchuck is your winner!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). Tshering Wangchuck!
An out of breath Tshering Wangchuck thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
