Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Stin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timur Ruslanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Timur Ruslanov is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bob Stin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Timur Ruslanov!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Dmitry Maklakov and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruslanov shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Stin defends it nicely.
Ruslanov fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Stin clinches up with Ruslanov and pushes him back against the cage.
Stin is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Stin is looking to break free of the clinch but Ruslanov has double underhooks.

Stin lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Stin slows the pace down in half guard.
Stin is thwarting Ruslanov's attempts to control the position.
Stin prevents Ruslanov from improving his position.
Ruslanov avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Stin.

Ruslanov is trying to control but can't.
Ruslanov is staying active underneath Stin, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Ruslanov gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Stin to score an easy takedown into full guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Timur Ruslanov has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Stin darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ruslanov moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Stin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ruslanov swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ruslanov is pulling down on Stin's head. It's preventing any offense from Stin, at least for the moment.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ruslanov moves in looking to clinch but Stin pushes him off.
Timur Ruslanov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stin fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ruslanov looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Stin throws a series of punches but Ruslanov moves out of range.

and Stin counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Stin stays in close to Ruslanov's body and controls the position.

Stin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Ruslanov tries for a takedown but Stin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bob Stin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Timur Ruslanov.
Stin tries to throw a body punch but Ruslanov avoids it by throwing Stin back against the cage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ruslanov just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Stin defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Ruslanov's arms.

Stin breaks Ruslanov's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Ruslanov wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Stin wants to control from the top but Ruslanov keeps moving.

Ruslanov has Stin pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Ruslanov pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Stin tumbling to the mat - Ruslanov dives into Stin's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

That was a close second round but I would say that Bob Stin will probably get the nod.

and Ruslanov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Timur Ruslanov was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Ruslanov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Stin moves into full guard.
Ruslanov wants to control from the top but Stin keeps moving.

Stin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

I would just about give that final round to Timur Ruslanov.
I think Stin has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
