PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bla Bla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bert Kreischer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bla's entrance music is I'm gonna live forever. A fine choice. Kreischer has chosen Lynyrd Skynyrd - Sweet Home Alabama as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bla Bla!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bert Kreischer!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bla fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Bla changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Bla tries for a takedown but Kreischer circles away easily
and Kreischer makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Bla misses with an uppercut.
Kreischer dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Bla. That did some damage!
Bla shoots and misses
and Kreischer counters with a nice leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bla Bla. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bla is breathing heavily.
Bla scores with a sloppy right hand. Kreischer should have avoided that one.
Bla Bla seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bla has his takedown stuffed
and Kreischer counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.


It looks like Bla Bla has been cut.

Kreischer shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bla napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Kreischer is looking to take a break and control but Bla is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bla is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bla wants to control but Kreischer postures up.

Kreischer advances to mount.

Kreischer is working for a guillotine from mount but Bla frees his head quite easily.
Kreischer takes Bla's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Bla is in trouble.
Bla breaks Kreischer's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Kreischer looking for a guillotine here but Bla defends easily.
Bla looking to sit in guard and control but Kreischer gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Bla is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bla winds up and cracks Kreischer with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Kreischer has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bla is working away from the top position though.
Bla looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kreischer with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Bla working over Kreischer with some ground and pound. Kreischer looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Bla tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kreischer knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Bla lands with a punch from half guard.
Bla sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kreischer defending well though.
Kreischer is trying to maintain the position but Bla is very close to passing his half guard.

Kreischer is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bla pulls his head out easily.

Kreischer looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Bla is just content to waste time from the top position. Kreischer takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Bla has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bla keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kreischer's head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bla stands up over Kreischer, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Bla working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kreischer's head.
Bla missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Kreischer looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Bla chips away with some ground and pound.

Bla throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Bla might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bla is in close to Kreischer's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Bla looking to sit in guard and control but Kreischer gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

That was a close round but I would say that Bla Bla will probably get the nod.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Bla tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kreischer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bla somewhat.
Bla chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kreischer can pounce on him.
Bla gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Kreischer counters with a nice low kick that buckles Bla's knee momentarily.
Bla shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
letting Kreischer counter with a right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bla Bla. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bla shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kreischer manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kreischer controls Bla momentarily but Bla frees himself.
Bla Bla overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Kreischer working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bla doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bla manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Bla lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Kreischer looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Kreischer manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bla manages to get himself to full guard.

Bla has his foot on Kreischer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kreischer works his way back into a safe position though.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kreischer is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Bla is surviving well by controlling Kreischer's body position as best he can.
Kreischer fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bert Kreischer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Good standup being displayed there by Bla as he connects with a hook.
Kreischer takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Bla drops his hands momentarily and Kreischer takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Kreischer uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bla.
Bla shoots in looking for a takedown. Kreischer tries to sprawl out of it but Bla keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kreischer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bla throws a lazy right hand but Kreischer sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Bla shoots and misses
and Kreischer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Kreischer counters with a thumping low kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bla Bla. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Bla stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kreischer.
Kreischer lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
An inside leg kick lands from Kreischer.

Kreischer keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.


Bla Bla's cut is getting worse.
Bla tries for a takedown but Kreischer circles away easily
and Kreischer makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Bla is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Kreischer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bla circles away quickly and effectively.
Kreischer scores with a hook.
Kreischer throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Bla stumbling backwards into the cage! Bla bounces back off the cage towards Kreischer, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Kreischer lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Kreischer celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Bert Kreischer!
After winning the bout, Bert Kreischer thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
