PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Russ Rutger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marshall Noir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rutger comes to the cage accompanied by Hall & Oates - Out of Touch. Noir is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Pride. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 41 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Russ Rutger!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 11 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marshall Noir!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Noir shoots in for a takedown but Rutger shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Rutger is looking to clinch but Noir is avoiding it.
Noir tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Noir drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Noir ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rutger moves away.
Rutger throws a right and a left that both miss.

Noir is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rutger knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Russ Rutger decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
