Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Johnson Wheeler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edgars Kublins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Edgars Kublins enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Johnson Wheeler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Edgars Kublins!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Saam Ante and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kublins throws a head kick that misses.
Kublins wants to clinch.

Kublins has closed the distance and engaged Wheeler in a clinch.

Kublins manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Wheeler preventing the sweep.
Wheeler will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kublins is still trying to improve position.
Kublins pulls Wheeler in close to prevent any damage.
Wheeler really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Kublins wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Wheeler manages to pass to side control.

Kublins is trying to maintain the position but Wheeler is very close to passing his half guard.

Kublins throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.

Wheeler is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kublins makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kublins.

Kublins shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kublins was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Wheeler is looking for a sweep. Kublins is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Kublins gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Wheeler is looking to clinch but Kublins is avoiding it.
Edgars Kublins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wheeler has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kublins can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Kublins is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Kublins must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Edgars Kublins hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Kublins gets the takedown into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kublins passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Wheeler!

Wheeler tries to control Kublins's body but Kublins pushes him off. Wheeler squirms to his side and now Kublins has his back!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Wheeler is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Kublins gets his way!

Kublins just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Kublins's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Wheeler is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kublins throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.

Edgars Kublins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Wheeler holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Kublins tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Wheeler is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Edgars Kublins comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kublins has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
