Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michal Filipovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Panzerfaust (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Panzerfaust looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Panzerfaust working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Panzerfaust has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Filipovic is trying to stand up here but Panzerfaust is controlling him well.

Panzerfaust thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Filipovic's head.

Panzerfaust is nestled in close to Filipovic, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Panzerfaust is trying to control the action in half guard but Filipovic is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Panzerfaust might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Filipovic haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Filipovic parries the strikes from Panzerfaust easily there. Panzerfaust is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Filipovic to escape.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
