Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jeffry Wooten!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bodie Evans!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wooten darts in trying to clinch

and Evans counters by clinching up.

Evans gets control of Wooten's arms and successfully pulls guard. Evans will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Evans has momentary wrist control but Wooten slips an elbow through the middle.

Wooten drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Evans dives on top into guard.

Wooten will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Wooten has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Evans uses from the top position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Wooten jumps guard but Evans stands there with Wooten around his waist. Wooten gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Wooten has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
