The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some bone on bone action there as Ballardo checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Ballardo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Police State seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from State - that will leave a mark!
State jabs Ballardo to the body, keeping him at a distance.
State avoids the head kick by Ballardo.
State throws a hook but Ballardo blocks it.
State slips under a jab.
State swings and misses with a hook to the body.
State keeps the fight on the outside.
State lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
It looks like Vassago Ballardo has been cut.
State takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Whack! State lands a heavy head kick that drops Ballardo. The ref tackles State to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Ballardo was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Police State!
Police State is the new light heavyweight champion!
