The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blomsten walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Man checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Blomsten looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Blomsten stands and throws Man's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Blomsten is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Blomsten working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Blomsten goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Man has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Blomsten but great work by Man.

Blomsten tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Man wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Blomsten is trying to control Man's posture but Man avoids it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Man throws a nice inside leg kick.
Blomsten throws a lazy uppercut
and Man counters with a good, hard body kick but Blomsten shrugs it off.

Blomsten shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Man pinned against the cage. Man gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Blomsten.
Sloppy strikes from Man. Those never looked like landing.
Man cracks the inside of Blomsten's front leg.
Blomsten misses with a jab to the body
and Man counters with a thumping low kick.

Blomsten fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Man sprawls well initially but Blomsten persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Man felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Blomsten is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Blomsten in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Man tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Blomsten!
