Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between AL Lickertwat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tico Cortez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 14 - 1, fighting out of New York, AL Lickertwat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tico Cortez!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lickertwat throws a shot from downtown. Cortez moves away and avoids it.
Lickertwat moves out of range as Cortez strikes.
Lickertwat throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Cortez has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Cortez!
Cortez has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Cortez there as he acknowledges the shot.
Lickertwat looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Cortez takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Cortez enables Lickertwat to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Cortez manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Cortez had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lickertwat defends it easily.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That was a close round but I would say that AL Lickertwat will probably get the nod.

A very excited looking AL Lickertwat rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
