Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Yashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mentor Guruland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Brandon Yashi has been cut.
Guruland's coach down at LOD: Lightning Kicks was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Guruland's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Yashi has Guruland up against the cage in a clinch.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Yashi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Guruland gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Yashi wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Yashi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Guruland doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Guruland manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Mentor Guruland seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Yashi takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Yashi is breathing heavily.
Yashi misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Guruland is pawing at Yashi, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Yashi's nose. Yashi is badly hurt! Guruland pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Yashi tries desperately to hold on but Guruland is relentless in his assault! As Yashi receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Guruland away and this one is in the books!
