The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Braga fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Galvao avoids it really well and circles away.
Braga looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Galvao fails with the takedown

and Braga counters with a takedown into side control.
Braga wants to control but Galvao is keeping him busy.
Galvao is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Braga has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Braga thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Braga stands up and beckons Galvao to his feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Galvao is defended easily by Braga.
Braga dives in for a single leg takedown but Galvao sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Galvao tries to break the clinch but Braga is controlling the position.

Galvao is fighting off a takedown attempt but Braga is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Galvao to the mat. Galvao regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Braga wants to stand but Galvao has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Galvao has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Braga doesn't defend quickly enough and Galvao has managed to lock this one up! Can Braga escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Galvao on a fantastic submission victory.
