The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hewitt looks to score with a jab to the body but Kelly is just out of range.
Hewitt dives in and scores a takedown into Kelly's guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Hewitt working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Hewitt wants to pass the guard but Kelly is keeping the position.
Hewitt keeps trying to improve his position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Martin Hewitt wasn't active enough on the ground.

Kelly is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Hewitt is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
