Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Hammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mica Gavric (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Gavric's choice of entrance music: Frank Zappa - Cocaine Decisions. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammer fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gavric manages to avoid it.
Gavric stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gavric wants it to stay on the feet.
Hammer fails with the takedown.
Gavric tries to clinch but Hammer moves out of range.
Nice takedown defense from Gavric. No joy for Hammer on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny Hammer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hammer shoots in looking for a takedown. Gavric tries to sprawl out of it but Hammer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gavric manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Johnny Hammer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hammer closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Gavric quickly recovers to half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Gavric manages to get to full guard.

Gavric is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hammer is aware though and is defending well.

Gavric utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Gavric is trying to keep Hammer in close.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gavric is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Hammer rolls with it to try and escape but Gavric cranks on the arm and Hammer is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
