And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anthony Hopkins!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hopkins fails with the takedown
enabling Arana to counter with a crisp jab.
Hopkins shoots in for a takedown but Arana shows good takedown defense.
Hopkins looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Unai Arana has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anthony Hopkins.

Arana lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hopkins circles away quickly and effectively.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Arana bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Hopkins thows a body kick. Arana tries to catch it but that hurt him.

enabling Hopkins to counter with a crisp jab.

Hopkins tries to clinch up but Arana circles away and keeps his distance.
Arana keeps the fight on the outside.

Hopkins moves into the clinch successfully.
Arana lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Hopkins backwards.
Arana lands a nice knee to the body.

Hopkins creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Arana lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Arana pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hopkins ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Hopkins tries for a takedown but Arana circles away easily
and Arana counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Hopkins darts in trying to clinch
and Arana counters with a straight right hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Arana misses the shot to the body.
Hopkins wants to clinch but Arana slips to the side
and Hopkins takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Hopkins dives in and grabs Arana's left leg, looking for a takedown. Arana pushes down on Hopkins's head and hops out.
Hopkins moves in looking to clinch but Arana pushes him off.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Hopkins.

and Arana counters with a low kick, right behind Hopkins 's knee.

and Arana counters with a thumping low kick.

Arana dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Arana lands a big head kick that sends Hopkins tumbling to the mat! Arana takes a step backwards and waves Hopkins back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Anthony Hopkins has been cut.
Arana feints and then cracks Hopkins's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hopkins down.
Hopkins is still on wobbly legs! Can Arana finish him?

Arana drops Hopkins with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Hopkins! Arana dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Unai Arana decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
