Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Riley Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Snake Shadow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shadow has chosen Snake in the Eagles Shadow as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Riley Cooper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Snake Shadow!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooper jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Shadow changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cooper tries to avoid it but Shadow manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cooper to the ground. Cooper escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Cooper buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Cooper dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Shadow dives in and grabs Cooper's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cooper pushes down on Shadow's head and hops out.
Cooper thuds a left hand into Shadow's body.
Shadow closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Shadow lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Cooper at a distance.
Cooper connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Cooper, as that shot connected.
Cooper tries to clinch but Shadow is having none of it.
Cooper lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Shadow lands a nice hook to Cooper's body. Cooper takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Cooper missing with a left hand there. Shadow was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Cooper doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Shadow ducks under a wild hook from Cooper.
Shadow lands a nice hook to Cooper's body. Cooper takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Shadow jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Cooper stuns Shadow with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Cooper shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cooper showed some decent athleticism there.
Shadow wants to get back to full guard.

Cooper is looking to advance position but Shadow won't allow it.
Shadow works his way to full guard. Good work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cooper tries to free his leg and advance position but Shadow is retaining full guard.
Shadow looking for a sweep. Not yet Shadow, not yet.
Cooper scoring with some ground and pound.

Shadow looking to control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Shadow wants to sweep but no luck.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Cooper slips a straight right by Shadow.
Cooper connects with a solid leg kick.
A slow jab from Shadow misses its intended target.
Shadow slips a jab from Cooper.
Cooper throws a front kick aimed at Shadow's knee but Shadow avoids it well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Cooper scores with a one two! Shadow had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Cooper throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

We've been told by Cooper's head coaches at Philly Dawgz MMA - PIT Inc that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Shadow throws a jab when Cooper was well out of range.
Shadow thows a left - swing and a miss!
Shadow walks into a jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cooper throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shadow's waist but Shadow gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cooper off to one side.
Cooper loads up on a big right hand but Shadow slips the punch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Riley Cooper dominated that round.
That's time! Cooper's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

enabling Cooper to counter with a crisp jab.
Cooper looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Cooper is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Shadow.
Cooper is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Shadow can do to turn this around?
Shadow throws a leg kick but Cooper checks it.
The fighters circling - Shadow throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A looping hook to the body misses from Cooper. Shadow does a little dance to reset his feet.
Cooper bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Shadow's head.
Shadow tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cooper was well out of range. Poor timing from Shadow.
Cooper feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Shadows jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Cooper moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Shadow fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cooper manages to avoid it.
Shadow scores with a jab. Cooper acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Cooper lands a jab.
Cooper takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Cooper takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Shadow is rocked!

Cooper lands a jab to Shadow's midsection.
Cooper with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Shadow looks to score with a jab to the body but Cooper is just out of range.
Cooper walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Shadow steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cooper.
Shadow fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Shadow ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cooper moves away.
Cooper blocks a jab.
Cooper lands a lovely overhand right.
Shadow keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Cooper lands with a straight right. Shadow didn't see that one coming.
Cooper steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Shadow.
Cooper avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Shadow throws a nice outside leg kick.
Shadow misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Cooper.

Cooper rushes Shadow and presses him up against the cage.
Cooper tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Cooper manages to break the clinch.
Shadow on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Cooper has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Cooper there as he acknowledges the shot.

Shadow feints and as Cooper raises his hands in defense, Shadow changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Cooper is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Shadow is aware though and is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shadow wants to control from the top but Cooper keeps moving.

Cooper had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Shadow defends it easily.

Cooper is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Snake Shadow will probably get the nod - 10:9.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Shadow wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Shadow tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cooper was well out of range. Poor timing from Shadow.

Cooper walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shadow tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Cooper throws a low kick but it's checked well by Shadow.

Shadow's jab looks to have found its range, popping Cooper under the eye.
Cooper lands an overhand right.
Cooper uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Shadow ducks under a wild hook from Cooper.

Cooper looking to score a takedown here. Shadow is defending well but Cooper drives through and ends up in Shadow's guard.

Shadow is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cooper defends well.
Cooper lands a couple of decent looking shots.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cooper accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Shadow has his hands on Cooper's head, controlling the position.
Shadow is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Cooper throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Shadow works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Cooper makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Shadow lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Shadow is working Cooper over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Shadow wants to free his trapped foot but Cooper is holding on for dear life with his legs.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Cooper on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Cooper blocking the ground and pound attempt from Shadow.
Cooper is trying to maintain the position but Shadow is very close to passing his half guard.
Cooper is refusing to be controlled, as Shadow sits in half guard.

Shadow is working for a submission of some sort.
Shadow stalling.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Snake Shadow.
I think Shadow has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
