Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Titus Everett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Bower (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Titus Everett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Frank Bower!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Everett shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bower defends it nicely.

Everett gets tackled into the cage by Bower. Bower maintains the clinch.
Everett really is a fat lump.
Everett is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Bower gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Everett regains guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Bower showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bower throwing strikes but missing.
Everett not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Everett tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Bower sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Everett's guard.
Bower trying to mount his opponent but Everett defends it.
Bower is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Everett is looking to control Bower's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Everett avoid being mounted?

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Everett looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Bower is controlling Everett's trapped leg to prevent Everett from advancing to side control.

Bower kicks off Everett and gets to his feet.

Bower moves into the clinch.
Everett pressing his opponent against the cage.
Everett is trying to stall.
Everett misses with a punch to the body.
Everett blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Everett is trying to break free.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Everett takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Everett is trying to stall.

Everett breaks the clinch.
Everett tries to clinch but Bower moves out of range.

Bower shoots in and bounces Everett off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Everett has his foot on Bower's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bower works his way back into a safe position though.
Bower looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Let's hope that Bower has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Everett controls Bower momentarily but Bower frees himself.
Bower tries to free his leg and advance position but Everett is retaining full guard.
Bower controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Frank Bower has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Everett tries to sprawl but Bower drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Everett wants to control the action here but instead Bower manages to pass to full mount!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bower is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Everett has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Bower thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Bower darts in and clinches Everett up against the cage.

Bower works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Everett trying to keep a closed guard but Bower is proving a slippery customer.

Everett won't allow Bower to pass to mount.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bower in particular looking to stall.
Bower wants to pass to mount but Everett is defending the position.
Everett is looking for a sweep. Bower is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Everett is working hard here to advance position.
Everett might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Bower is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Everett slows down the pace here.

Bower wants the takedown. Everett is fighting it off but Bower persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Everett's guard against the cage.
Bower slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Everett is working an open guard so Bower takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

It looks like Titus Everett has been cut.
Frank Bower seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Bower closes the distance and clinches.
Bower using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Everett has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Everett manages to break the clinch.
Bower lands an overhand right.
Everett doesn't manage to clinch there - Bower circles away.
Bower lands a right hook to the body.
Bower scores with the left hand. Everett knows he should have avoided that one.
Bower misses the shot to the body.
Bower connects with a body shot that sends Everett's belly button to the back.

Bower changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Everett looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Everett tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bower working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Everett can't do much from the bottom here.
Everett manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Everett pushes Bower off looking to stand but Bower dives back in and keeps control.

Everett is defending against the submission attempts here by Bower.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Everett is not content to let Bower control the position.

Bower tries to pass to full mount but Everett defends it.
Bower throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Bower is thwarting Everett's attempts to control the position.
Bower perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Everett wants to get back to full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Everett is looking to control Bower's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Everett avoid being mounted?

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
A head kick misses from Bower.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Bower showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Everett is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Bower tries to circle away but Everett has him pinned against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Bower manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Everett wants to control but Bower is having none of it.

Everett keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Everett is desperately trying to improve his position but Bower has a good base and remains in mount.

Bower looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Bower content just to control the position here.
Bower misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Everett tries to hold on but Bower postures up.
Bower can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Everett is looking to escape.
Everett regains half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bower tries to pass to full mount but Everett defends it.
Everett is trying to get back to full guard.
Everett has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bower is working away from the top position though.
Everett wants to improve his position but Bower is controlling well.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Frank Bower wasn't active enough on the ground.

Bower shoots in and gets a takedown into Everett's guard.
Everett is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Bower is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Bower wants to control from the top but Everett keeps moving.
Everett controls Bower momentarily but Bower frees himself.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Frank Bower hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Everett dives in for a single leg takedown but Bower sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Bower wants to get back to striking at distance but Everett won't allow it.

Bower ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bower no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Bower is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Everett drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bower looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bower looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bower!

Frank Bower comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bower has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
