Adams has chosen 'Looking For The Stone' by Dry Branch Fire Squad as his entrance music. The key to victory for Martin Zinn has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, JR Adams!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Paul Gruel and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zinn misses with a low kick.
Zinn throws a quick inside leg kick.
Zinn scores with a decent looking hook.


It looks like JR Adams has been cut.
Zinn dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Martin Zinn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zinn throws a series of punches but Adams avoids them all with ease.
Zinn jabs Adams to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Zinn throws a body shot but no joy.
Adams throws a lazy uppercut
and Zinn counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Adams ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Zinn moves away.
Adams takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Adams has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Adams misses with a jab, cross combination.
Zinn throws a jab when Adams was well out of range.
Zinn misses with a body kick.
Zinn ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Adams moves away.
Zinn digs a good body shot into Adams's ribs.

Adams gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Adams drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Adams preventing the sweep.
Adams engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Zinn keeping full guard, as Adams tries to pass.
Adams is looking to advance position but Zinn has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Zinn misses with a head shot.

Zinn throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Adams is working to get back to half guard.
Adams wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Zinn.
Adams is looking to improve his position but Zinn isn't that keen on the idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zinn can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Adams is looking to escape.
Poor strikes thrown by Zinn there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Zinn postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Adams is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Zinn makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Adams is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Zinn rolls with it to try and escape but Adams cranks on the arm and Zinn is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). JR Adams!
A very excited looking JR Adams made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
