Corrales comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Party Up kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look pumped up here. Corrales takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Pettis cracks Corrales with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Corrales looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Pettis finish him?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pettis drops Corrales with a beautiful combination! Corrales stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Pettis is looking for the KO!
Pettis cracks Corrales on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Corrales falls backwards against the cage. Pettis follows up with more strikes that drop Corrales to his knees. Pettis keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Corrales! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Anthony Pettis!

In defeat, Joseph Corrales stepped up to the mic, saying 'imma just go home and get some ass'.
