Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Alvarez Banner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Georges St Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Banner comes to the cage accompanied by Raining Blood by Slayer. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banner swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Banner stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Banner just misses with a punch to the body.
St Pierre throws a right hand that Banner ducks under and follows up with a left that Banner also avoids with ease.
Banner comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
St Pierre has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from St Pierre there as he acknowledges the shot.
Banner bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

St Pierre tries to clinch up

and Banner decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in St Pierre's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if St Pierre can do anything to dispel that myth.
St Pierre is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Banner passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Banner throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
St Pierre is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Banner lands some shots froms side control.
St Pierre tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Banner wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Banner connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused St Pierre some visible discomfort.

Banner has an Americana. St Pierre didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Banner is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Banner hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
