The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Podolski looking to score a takedown here. Marquez is defending well but Podolski drives through and ends up in Marquez's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Podolski is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Marquez wants to get back to his feet but Podolski is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Podolski wants to stand but Marquez is controlling his posture from full guard.
Podolski prevents Marquez from getting back to his feet.
Podolski lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Podolski distracts Marquez with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Podolski thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Podolski won't allow Marquez to get back to his feet.
Podolski trying to control but Marquez is working from the bottom.
Podolski lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Marquez is rocked!

Podolski keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Marquez's head.
Oh Marquez is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Podolski got a little sloppy there for a moment and Marquez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Podolski has managed to get both his arms back between Marquez's legs - danger averted.
Podolski scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Podolski arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Marquez's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
