Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rodrigo Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Daxer Bale!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Valeri Chadov and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bale defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Diaz.
Nice takedown defense from Diaz. No joy for Bale on that attempt.
Diaz throws a combination that misses
and Bale counters with a nice kick to the body.
Bale goes for a double leg but Diaz avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Diaz continues to drive forward.

Bale's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bale is trying hard to land a takedown here. Diaz sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Bale is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Diaz enables Bale to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Diaz manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Bale stands and throws Diaz's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Diaz might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bale is taking a breather. Diaz says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bale decides to stand up.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Diaz jumps guard but Bale stands there with Diaz around his waist. Diaz gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Diaz drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bale pulls his leg out and moves away.

Diaz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bale on the ground.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Bale.

Daxer Bale comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bale has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
