The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pillow clinches with his opponent.
Opdauhl lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Pillow backwards.

Opdauhl has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Pillow regains guard immediately.
Pillow preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Opdauhl stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pillow swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Pillow wants to get back to his feet but Opdauhl is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Pillow is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Opdauhl dives into side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pillow takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Pillow tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Pillow is pushing Opdauhl's head away, looking to escape. Opdauhl manages to hold on to the position though.
Opdauhl in side control lands a decent elbow.
Opdauhl scores with a couple of short elbows.
Opdauhl scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Pillow to see if he's OK.
Opdauhl working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Opdauhl is looking to take a break and control but Pillow is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pillow can do anything to dispel that myth.
