The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Landalay uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Appleberry.
Appleberry uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Landalay.
A looping hook to the body misses from Landalay. Appleberry does a little dance to reset his feet.
Sloppy strikes from Landalay. Those never looked like landing.

Landalay has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Landalay tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Appleberry was well out of range. Poor timing from Landalay.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Appleberry, right into the meat.

Appleberry bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Landalay pivots, looking for a leg kick but Appleberry is out of range and Landalay settles back down.

Appleberry stuns Landalay with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Appleberry counters with a three punch combo that has Landalay backing up. Landalay nods at Appleberry to acknowledge the strikes.
Appleberry throws a shot to the body.
Appleberry stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Landalay throws a head kick but Appleberry moves out of range.

Appleberry cracks Landalay with a left hand that drops him to the canvas, up against the ropes! Can Landalay get back up in time? 3, 4, 5, 6, 7... he's on one knee... 8, 9... he's up! 'Walk towards me' says the referee. Landalay looks steady enough to continue so we're going to continue!

Appleberry ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Landalay moves away.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Appleberry connects with an inside leg kick.
Landalay has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Appleberry.
Landalay takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Landalay leaves his chin hanging out and Appleberry seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Landalay crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
