Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Keith Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marvin Gustilo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Keith Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marvin Gustilo!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Chris Dean and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz tries to clinch up but Gustilo circles away and keeps his distance.

Diaz drives through with a takedown into Gustilo's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Gustilo looking to control.
Diaz postures up in Gustilo's guard and throws a big left but Gustilo blocks it.
Diaz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gustilo works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Gustilo should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Gustilo is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Diaz will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Diaz had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gustilo defends it easily.

Diaz is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Gustilo is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Gustilo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gustilo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Diaz is looking for a triangle but Gustilo pushes his legs off easily.

Gustilo has control of Diaz's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Diaz regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Diaz is trying desperately to improve position.
Diaz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gustilo on the ground.

Gustilo is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Gustilo extends the arm and Diaz is forced to tap!

Marvin Gustilo decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
