The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whitecoat misses with a straight right.
Di Vaio swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Axel Whitecoat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fighters circling - Whitecoat throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Di Vaio tries for a takedown but Whitecoat sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Di Vaio tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Whitecoat paws at him with a jab and circles away.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Whitecoat has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

and Di Vaio counters with a low kick, right behind Whitecoat 's knee.

Di Vaio pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Whitecoat back to the cage. Di Vaio follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Whitecoat catches Di Vaio napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Di Vaio to the canvas!

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Di Vaio looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Whitecoat is defending well. Di Vaio quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Whitecoat has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Di Vaio celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
