Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between DJ Dillishaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, DJ Dillishaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Peter Jacobs!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dillishaw drives through and clinches with Jacobs against the cage.
Dillishaw misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Jacobs.

Dillishaw escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jacobs fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jacobs swings for the body but Dillishaw moves out of range.
Dillishaw throws a series of strikes that have Jacobs backpedaling.
Jacobs shoots in looking for a takedown but Dillishaw manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jacobs's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Dillishaw fails with an attempt to clinch.
Dillishaw scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Jacobs doesn't seem bothered though.

Dillishaw rushes Jacobs and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Dillishaw tries to land a knee to the head but Jacobs blocks with his arms.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Dillishaw takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jacobs has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Dillishaw avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
DJ Dillishaw has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Jacobs.
Jacobs has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Dillishaw after a bit of a struggle.

Dillishaw pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jacobs's coach down at Werewolf's cave was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Jacobs's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Dillishaw pushes Jacobs up against the cage in a clinch.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Dillishaw manages to break the clinch.
Dillishaw misses the shot to the body.

Dillishaw lands the left hand.
Jacobs misses with a takedown attempt - Dillishaw sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jacobs shoots in for a takedown but Dillishaw shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Dillishaw tries to clinch there but Jacobs circles away.
Jacobs keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jacobs looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Dillishaw throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
No joy there for Dillishaw, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dillishaw displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jacobs.

Dillishaw moves into the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jacobs letting Dillishaw take a breather here.
Jacobs tries for a takedown. No joy.

Dillishaw breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jacobs takes one to the side of the head.
Dillishaw lands with an overhand left.
DJ Dillishaw seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dillishaw tries to clinch there but Jacobs circles away.
Dillishaw throws a nice looking combination but Jacobs bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Dillishaw clinches with his opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Dillishaw escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jacobs has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Dillishaw finds it's way round the side to connect with Jacobs's head.
Jacobs is trying desperately to land a takedown but Dillishaw is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Jacobs.
Dillishaw lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Dillishaw.


Jacobs is rocked!

Dillishaw moves into the clinch.
Jacobs is still on wobbly legs! Can Dillishaw finish him?

Dillishaw escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jacobs backs away from a small jab... but Dillishaw lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Jacobs crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Dillishaw with a spectacular finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). DJ Dillishaw!
