The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shankoli stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Shankoli wants it to stay on the feet.
Shankoli paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Grayson shoots in for a double leg but Shankoli sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Grayson dives in and grabs Shankoli's left leg, looking for a takedown. Shankoli pushes down on Grayson's head and hops out.

Grayson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Shankoli's guard.
