Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chris Bosh!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bosh darts in and clinches Yamada up against the cage.
Yamada tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Bosh gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bosh accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Bosh trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Yamada preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Bosh postures up in Yamada's guard and throws a big left but Yamada blocks it.
Bosh's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Bosh is looking to work some ground and pound but Yamada has wrist control.
Bosh looking to sit in guard and control but Yamada gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Yamada wants to get up but he can't break Bosh's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Bosh lands one or two decent shots to the body here. Although from his own half guard, he's not going to be causing too much damage.

Bosh shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Bosh wants to lay and pray for a moment but Yamada keeps working.
