Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kyle walks into a left hand.
Borschev throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Borschev thuds his shin into the meat of Kyle's side.
Borschev has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Kyle lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Kyle fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Borschev manages to avoid it.
Borschev is looking to land body kicks.
Borschev lands with a hook. Kyle tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kyle turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Kyle dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Borschev. That did some damage!

Borschev looks to land a combination. Kyle sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Borschev tried to score with a low kick but Kyle checks it.
Kyle tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Borschev manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kyle. Borschev does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kyle lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Borschev takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Borschev lunges at Kyle with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kyle's hand.

Some bone on bone action there as Borschev checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Kyle lands a nice leg kick that just misses Borschev's sensitive parts.
Kyle pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kyle crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Borschev - the referee stops the clock and Kyle gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Borschev. Kyle manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Borschev is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Kyle wants to pass the guard but Borschev is defending well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kyle blocks the body kick.
Borschev misses with an attempted mid kick.
Borschev chopping away at his opponent's legs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Mark Kyle will probably get the nod.

Kyle tries to clinch there but Borschev circles away.
Borschev throws a head kick but Kyle moves out of range.
A thudding body kick lands there by Kyle!

Borschev lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Kyle is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Borschev rather than just go for the knockout.
