These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sacana will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Sacana shoots and misses
and Heap counters with a straight right hand.
Heap throws a looping overhand right but Sacana ducks down to avoid it.
Sacana shoots in for a double leg but Heap sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Eildon Heap has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Torrelio Sacana.
Heap tries to close the distance and clinch but Sacana swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Eildon Heap seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Sacana decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Heap's guard.
