Bomb comes to the cage accompanied by Casino Royale Soundtrack - You Know My Name. Ashantie has chosen Congo Ashanti as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping body kick lands there for Bomb.
Ashantie looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Ashantie takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Ashantie connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Ashantie gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Bomb counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.


It looks like Congo Ashantie has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ashantie throws a low kick but it's checked well by Bomb.
Ashantie fakes the leg kick and cracks Bomb in the body.
Ashantie keeps the fight on the outside.
Bomb moves out of range of the leg kick from Ashantie.

Bomb pushes Ashantie up against the cage in a clinch.
Bomb doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Bomb manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Ashantie misses with some punches.
The referee calls for Ashantie to work.
Bomb working aggressively here.
Our sources have told us that Bomb has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
Ashantie swings away with an uppercut that misses.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Bomb takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ashantie tries to work over Bomb's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

We've been informed that Ashantie has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
With the fighters up against the cage, Bomb throws an elbow but misses.
Ashantie tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Bomb pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
James Bomb seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ashantie throws a hook to the side of Bomb's head but Bomb sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Ashantie throws a head kick but Bomb moves out of range.
Bomb fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Bomb paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Ashantie throws a leg kick but Bomb moved away.
Bomb pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Bomb pushes Ashantie up against the cage in a clinch.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Ashantie.
A short uppercut from Bomb.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Bomb.
Bomb has a couple of punches blocked by Ashantie.
Bomb wants to stall.

Ashantie swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Bomb lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Ashantie with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Bomb softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Bomb scores with a nice hook to the head.
Ashantie misses with the head strike.
Bomb blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Bomb is pushing Ashantie up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Ashantie lands a left hand that snaps the head of Bomb backwards.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bomb lands a nice knee to the body.
Bomb lands with a short shot to the head.

Ashantie looks winded!

Bomb breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bomb goes for a small jab and connects. Now Bomb goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Ashantie stumbles back but Bomb runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Ashantie to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Ashantie will ever be the same after a knockout like that.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). James Bomb!
