Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Korna Mortran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes to the cage accompanied by Hunting High and Low. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Felipe Paraventi and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva has his takedown stuffed
and Mortran counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Mortran.
Mortran got a little sloppy there for a moment and Silva has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mortran has managed to get both his arms back between Silva's legs - danger averted.
Silva looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mortran is one step ahead there.
Silva is trying to control the position but Mortran postures up.
Mortran is looking to stand up but Silva won't let him.
Mortran really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Rodrigo Silva just wasn't active enough.
Mortran swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Silva counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Mortran thinking.
Korna Mortran is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mortran looks to land a combination but Silva avoids it well.
Silva tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mortran sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Silva somewhat.
Mortran's coach down at Soco na mãe - Stand Up Striking was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Mortran's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Korna Mortran seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mortran throws a jab but it's blocked by Silva.
Mortran falls off balance throwing a combination
and Silva counters with a head kick.

Mortran closes the distance and pushes Silva back into the cage.
Mortran looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Silva jumps into guard, dragging Mortran to the mat.
Silva controls Mortran momentarily but Mortran frees himself.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Silva tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mortran defends well and Silva ends up having to push Mortran into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Mortran wants to get up but he can't break Silva's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Mortran with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Mortran tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Silva takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Mortran misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mortran throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Silva.

Mortran waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Silva. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Silva to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

Mortran drops Silva with a right and a left! Mortran comes rushing in but Silva regains his composure and manages to keep Mortran in guard.

Silva seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

A looping hook to the body misses from Mortran. Silva does a little dance to reset his feet.
Mortran walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Silva drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Mortran swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Silva's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
